Semi Bad News

I don't think I will make the December deadline. As my apology to you all, I will have these three themes available for download along with the other themes inside of a theme pack. Please let me know if you have any issues.

  1. Have you had any more progress on the updated MIE LiveCd? I think it is a great idea that you should not give up.

  2. I actually don't have the know how to make the live cd version of MIE usable. Since harbour launcher was not built for x86 its a bit of a pig. I do plan to mod more of Francois' themes for the MIE.

  3. Hi, I'm using a modified version your (awesome!) balanza theme. Also, I'd like to ask you how you made the switcher show your running applications. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and it's not working. I followed this tutorial: http://rukmal.weerawarana.org/2009/03/how-to-install-hp-mie.html. (The problem is not the theme, same thing happens with the original). Thanks!

  4. I actually have not played around with Harbour Launcher on 10.04. Just remember that these programs are from Ubuntu 9.04, so there might some dependency that is no longer compatible with 10.04 packages. Still i'll play around with it when i get a chance.

  5. First things first: thanks for trying to help me. BTW the packages are from 8.04, I think, which is even worse. Also, if it helps, I'm using the 32-bit Desktop edition and some of the dependencies come from 9.10 (libxul0d, libmozjs and libxul-common). Finally, if this doesn't work, I might just go crazy and code something like this as soon as my exams are over.

  6. Were you able to get Harbour Launcher to act right? Mine will only start but it looks dimmer, as if it were in th background. Also when i try to use the start bar it freezes. I'll have to look at it in the weekend if i get a chance. I will say that i used what ever packages were available through synaptic, as i have done since 8.04.

  7. When you open the harbour-launcher, you have to make sure you either have no windows open or that all of them are minimized if you don't want that to happen. I also installed every dependency I could from synaptic. The 3 packages from 9.10 I mentioned are not available in Synaptic and don't have a version for 10.04.

  8. I know i said the weekend, but curiosity is getting the best of me. Thanks for letting me know to minimize, that worked. However I cannot get Harbour Launcher to show my mail, and if i push anything but "Start" on switcher, it crashes. Music works, Bookmark preview works.

  9. For me it's the same about the previews (btw, are you using elisa from hp or moovida?). The mail shows only my account, not received email. And clicking start does not cause any problems; it shows a list from where I can run apps. Sorry for taking so long to comment, had to study for an exam...
